Main Text: Article 1 In accordance with the provisions of the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China, Parties A and B have signed the Copyright Transfer Agreement, in which Party A shall transfer to Party B the copyright (including, but not limited to, the rights to reproduce, distribute, disseminate on the Internet, translate, compile, and adapt the work) of the above-mentioned manuscript worldwide for free, and has agreed that the manuscript may be retrieved and indexed by literature retrieval systems and networks and database systems in China and abroad. Party A shall declare in advance in case of any disagreements. This Agreement shall take effect from the date of signing by Party A, and the validity period shall be equivalent to the protection period of the copyright of the manuscript. Article 2 From the date of signing the Agreement by Party A, Party B shall have the exclusive copyright of the manuscript and the right to review, edit, and revise Party A’s manuscript as necessary. After submission for review and revision of the manuscript, it shall be arranged for publication in the Journal of Apoplexy and Nervous Diseases, provided that Party B accepts the revisions, and Party A shall pay relevant fees to Party B. If Party A fails to receive Party B’s manuscript processing notice within 4 months, Party A may handle the manuscript otherwise on the condition that a statement has been made to Party B, and this Agreement shall be terminated automatically. If Party A’s manuscript is not accepted by Party B, the Agreement shall also be terminated automatically, and Party A shall handle the manuscript at will. Article 3 Party A pledges that: (1) this manuscript is an original work independently created by all authors who enjoy independent intellectual property rights of the work, without plagiarism or omitting the sources of the original article; (2) this manuscript has not undergone duplicate or multiple submissions; it has not been published multiple times by making minor revisions to it or splitting it into multiple manuscripts; the manuscript may not be contributed to other journals in any language without Party B’s consent; (3) the content of the manuscript has not been published in China or abroad in any language; Party B must be informed if the manuscript has ever been presented or disclosed at academic conferences or included in conference abstract collections; (4) no dispute exists concerning authorship, affiliation(s), and the order of the authors. Article 4 Party A shall enrich and revise the manuscript in accordance with Party B’s Instructions for Authors and related comments on revision to meet Party B’s reasonable requirements for publishing the manuscript; in case of any changes in the name(s), order, and number of authors prior to publication of the manuscript, the corresponding author designated by Party A shall issue a letter or e-mail explaining the changes, and Party B shall make corresponding changes according to the content of the letter or e-mail. After publication of the manuscript, neither Party A nor Party B may change the name(s), order, and number of author(s). Article 5 After publication of the manuscript, Party A shall enjoy non-exclusive copyright and may compile and publish the manuscript in the work collections of the author(s) or their affiliation(s) or use the manuscript for presentation or communication on the condition that the publication year, volume number, issue number, and page number of the manuscript in the Journal of Apoplexy and Nervous Diseases is specified. If the manuscript involves commercial activities such as reproduction, translation, or publication of the manuscript by other institutions and individuals in China and abroad, Party B’s consent must be obtained. Article 6 After publication of the manuscript, Party A shall not terminate this Agreement unilaterally. Otherwise, Party A shall bear all economic and legal liabilities arising therefrom and compensate Party B for the economic losses thereof. If Party A violates Article 3 of this Agreement, Party B shall have the right to publicly condemn Party A (including notifying relevant authorities to impose administrative penalties on the author(s)), retract the manuscript, and claim financial compensation from the author(s). Article 7 For other matters not covered herein, both Parties shall resolve the conflicts (if any) through negotiation, and resolve these conflicts in accordance with the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China and related laws and regulations in the event of negotiation failure.
