Zeng Jinsheng
Professor, Doctoral Advisor. Vice President of The First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-sen University, Director of the Department of Neurology, Tier-2 Professor, Tier-1 Chief Physician, Doctoral Advisor, and Distinguished Professor of the Pearl River Scholars Program of Guangdong Province. He undertakes clinical and basic research on prevention and treatment of cerebrovascular diseases. He won the First Prize of Science and Technology Achievement Award of Chinese Stroke Association, the Second Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Guangdong Province, the Third Prize of the Ministry of Health, the Second Prize of Medical and Health Science and Technology Progress Award of Guangdong Province, Award for Young Teachers in Higher Education Institutions sponsored by Ministry of Education, National Outstanding Teacher Award, Excellence Award for Returned Entrepreneurial Youth Star in Guangdong Province, the Third Prize of Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation Award for outstanding young teachers in higher education institutions sponsored by Ministry of Education, Guangdong Nanyue Outstanding Educator Award for Young Teachers in Guangdong Province, Guangdong Outstanding Teacher Award, and Ke Lin Medical Award; he was selected as a candidate for the “Thousand-Hundred-Ten Talent Project” in Guangdong Province and was honored with the titles of Outstanding Individual and Famous Doctor of Sun Yat-Sen University. He has finished 39 national, provincial, ministerial, and municipal-level scientific research projects (including Joint Key Project of 973 Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China) and has been undertaking Chronic Diseases Sub-Project of National Key Research and Development Project of China. He has published more than 305 papers, 102 of which were published in SCI-indexed journals. He compiled 6 monographs as Editor-in-Chief and 29 monographs as Contributory Editor.
He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Nervous and Mental Diseases and International Journal of Stroke (Chinese Edition); Associate Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Stroke and Chinese Journal of Cerebrovascular Diseases (Electronic Edition); Editorial Board Member of Stroke (an American journal) and several professional journals in China; Special Reviewer of several international periodicals; Vice Chairman of Neurology Branch of Chinese Medical Association; Chairman of Stroke Prevention and Control Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association; member of the Standing Committee of Neurologist Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Chairman of Cerebrovascular Disease Committee of Neurologist Branch of Chinese Medical Doctor Association; Chairman of Cerebrovascular Disease Branch of Guangdong Medical Association; Honorary Chairman of Cerebrovascular Disease Branch of Guangdong Medical Association; Honorary Chairman of Neurology Branch of Guangdong Medical Association; and Vice Chairman of Neurology Branch of Guangdong Medical Doctor Association.
